St. Michael Defend Us Lapel Pin

This impressive, St. Michael pin is fashioned in polished 14K gold and reads, "St. Michael the Archangel Defend Us in Battle". A small cross rests on the lower right. A sword, symbolizing the sword of the Archangel, flanks the left side. Has a tie tack back. Measures approximately 1/2" in length by 1-1/16" width and is available in either yellow or white gold.
St. Michael is viewed in some traditions as the patron saint of policemen, mariners and those who are in battle. In the Orthodox Church, he is known as the Commander of the Heavenly hosts: "O ye foremost of the Heavenly hosts... Deliver us from oppression, since ye are the princes of dominions on high." (a hymn to the archangels).
